Dr Steyn obtained his medical degree at Stellenbosch University in 2021. He then completed his internship within the Bloemfontein Academic Hospital Complex, followed by a year of community service in the Free State town of Botshabelo, where he gained broad clinical experience managing diverse patient populations.

After completing his community service, Dr. Steyn returned to Cape Town, where he worked full time in a high-volume private Emergency Department. During this time, he developed strong clinical decision-making skills and obtained multiple postgraduate certifications, further strengthening his foundation in acute and cardiovascular medicine.
