Dr Van der Westhuizen grew up in Port Elizabeth and obtained his MBChB degree from Walter Sisulu University in 2009. He completed his 2-year internship at Tygerberg Hospital in 2011, which was followed by community service in Worcester Hospital.

With over ten years’ experience as a general practitioner in the Northern Suburbs, Dr van der Westhuizen is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred medical care. He places strong emphasis on maintaining the human connection in medicine, recognising that effective healthcare extends beyond physical symptoms to the well-being of the whole person.
