Dr Wessels is a specialist physician who completed her medical degree at the University of the Free State in 2011. After a few years working as a medical officer in the public sector, she went on to specialise at Stellenbosch University, qualifying in 2021.

Following specialisation, Dr Wessels spent four years working in the public healthcare sector at Paarl Hospital, gaining extensive experience in managing complex medical conditions across diverse patient populations. This period reinforced a strong commitment to equitable, patient-centred care.

She believes in treating patients holistically, recognising the importance of addressing not only physical illness but also the broader social, psychological, and lifestyle factors that influence health.

She remains dedicated to evidence-based medicine, continuous learning, and compassionate care.
